Isojärvi National Park Overnight Canoe Tour

Departure on Saturday morning at 9 am from the Tavinsulka Aquatic Sports Centrum. Gather all necessary equipment and drive to Hämeenpohja. Before launching the tour we take some bites, load the canoes and learn the basics of paddling. For the first stretch we paddle to Renusaari / Kalalahti. There we prepare the meal and enjoy it at the campfire. For the works to be done your active participation is needed (chop the wood, meal, etc). After meal we depart for the second stretch, relax and enjoy in

the nature. Depending on our arrival time to the overnight camp, we may visit one of the two culture-historical places Huhtala Croft and Herety loggers cabin. The visit may left for the day after. To cares ourselves the guide conducts gorgeous meals to be

prepared. On Sunday afternoon we leave behind this dreamland and arrive back to Jyväskylä by the evening.

Don’t be afraid if you have never tried canoeing – canoes are for 2-4 people, and crews are going to be made on equal basis. Professional canoe guide makes sure your enjoyment is undisturbed.

There are maximum 12 places in the group; to leave we need at least 5 participants.

You should take with you proper outdoor clothing, seating cushion, towel, etc. and good mood. In the case of very rough weather the trip will be cancelled and you will have your money back. Very rough weather means circumstances when outdoor activity is not enjoyment anymore or canoeing is dangerous. Little rain does not count.

Participation fee  includes equipment, transportation, plenty of food and drink for the tour, teaching and guidance, overnight fee for Metsähallitus.
