Canoe Tour in Southern Konnevesi National Park

Visitors can paddle across the vast lake in this picturesque park, shielded by a maze of islands. The shallow waters and underwater rocks mean minimal motorboat traffic, providing a peaceful space for paddlers to glide along smooth glaciated rocks and towering cliffs. The crystal-clear waters offer glimpses of the wild lake brown trout swimming in the depths below. Southern Konnevesi is known for its stunning contrasts – from lush, herb-rich forests to soaring cliffs, where ospreys patrol the skies.

Our journey begins at 9 AM on Saturday at the Hotel Alba. After gathering our gear, we will drive to the Hanhitaipale fishing harbor, where we’ll enjoy a light snack before setting off on the water. The paddling takes about 1.5 hours before we reach our hiking spot. The 3 km trail leads us to the serene Vuorikalaja pond, where a warm lunch will be prepared over a campfire. On the return, there’s an option to hike to the top of Kalaja Mountain for breathtaking views, before we head back to Jyväskylä.

The price includes transport to and from Jyväskylä, all equipment, guided instruction, and meals (snacks and lunch). Please ensure you bring personal outdoor clothing suitable for the weather.
