Southern Konnevesi National Park Overnight Canoe Tour

In Southern Konnevesi National Park, visitors can enjoy big lake in the shelter of the numerous islands. Due to the shallow water and underwater rocks, there is hardly any motorboating, leaving space for paddlers to wonder among smooth glaciated rocks and vertical cliff walls. In the clear water, you will be able to catch a glimpse of the depths that are the domain of the wild lake brown trout. Breathtaking contrasts characterise this national park. You can trek from herb-rich forests to high cliffs for a view over the magnificent landscape of the osprey.

Meeting at Tavinsulka Aquatic sports centrum at 9 am on Saturday. Collecting the gears and drive to Hanhitaipale fishing harbour. There we have a quick meal before departing to the paddling. It takes a good two-hour to reach our destination for overnight. There we collect mushrooms and berries, fish, heat the sauna, prepare the dinner, enjoy the nature and each others company, relax, play music (bring your instrument, we don't have.), sing, play games, etc. Optionnally you can sleep in the hut, in tent, in hammock or under the stary sky. We may see Aurora Bolearis, though at Midsummer it is unlikely. In the morning prepare a decent breakfast, clear our marks and depart to the return route. At Hanhitaipale we load the trailer and move on to Törmälä Manor for the late lunch, after which returning to Jyväskylä.

Price includes transport from / to Jyväskylä, equipment, guidance, four meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch).

You need to have your personal outdoor clothing for the prevailing weather. Also own camping gear is recommended.
