Itinerary:

  • Visit to Petäjävesi Old Church After our arrival, we will visit the Petäjävesi Old Church, a stunning example of traditional Finnish wooden architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Paddling basics and safety Before we get on the water, your guide will give a short lesson on paddling technique and go over safety measures. No experience is necessary – beginners are welcome!

  • Paddling on Lake Karikkoselkä We’ll glide across the peaceful waters of Lake Karikkoselkä. This unique lake was formed when a meteorite crashed into the Earth millions of years ago. We will enjoy the surrounding nature and listen to stories about the area’s rich cultural and natural history.

  • Lunch break We’ll pause for a relaxing break during which we’ll cook outdoors, enjoy a meal together, and explore the lakeside scenery.
