Itinerary:
Visit to Petäjävesi Old Church After our arrival, we will visit the Petäjävesi Old Church, a stunning example of traditional Finnish wooden architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Paddling basics and safety Before we get on the water, your guide will give a short lesson on paddling technique and go over safety measures. No experience is necessary – beginners are welcome!
Paddling on Lake Karikkoselkä We’ll glide across the peaceful waters of Lake Karikkoselkä. This unique lake was formed when a meteorite crashed into the Earth millions of years ago. We will enjoy the surrounding nature and listen to stories about the area’s rich cultural and natural history.
Lunch break We’ll pause for a relaxing break during which we’ll cook outdoors, enjoy a meal together, and explore the lakeside scenery.
